INTRODUCTION:

The Sindh Innovation, Research, and Education Network (SIREN) working under the auspices of the Government of Sindh and the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), is organizing a hybrid course (0.5-credit hour) entitled, “Translational Medicine”. Research scholars, students, scientists, medical grads, doctors, and faculty of SIREN-affiliated universities are cordially invited to attend this important course.

 

COURSE OVERVIEW:

§  Understanding the novel efficacy of small molecules, polyclonal, and monoclonal antibodies for treating Alzheimer's Disease.

§  Discovery of various conformational antibodies and leading the preclinical research into human clinical trials (From Laboratory to Bed side patients).


ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Prof. Rasool is a Vice President and Director of Suninflam Inc. and True Binding Inc, Foster city, CA. Director Neurology & Neurodegenerative Diseases Research Division 2020 – Present. He has proven track record in developing diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic modalities, spanning large molecules, small molecules, cellular therapeutics, and antibodies for Alzheimer's disease, Diabetes and other neurodegenerative diseases. Broad expertise in drug development spanning large molecule, small molecules, cellular therapeutics and antibodies.

He has extensive experience in drug development, brain imaging techniques, and has supervised scientists, postdocs, graduate students, and research associates. U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted clearance of the Investigational New Drug (IND) application to proceed with the clinical development of its lead product candidate, TB006, for the treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease.
