INTRODUCTION:
The Sindh Innovation, Research, and Education Network (SIREN) working under the auspices of the Government of Sindh and the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) are organizing a hybrid Workshop entitled, “Application of AI in context of public health for low and middle income countries.”
OBJECTIVE:
To provide comprehensive knowledge on the evaluations of digital technologies in the context of public-private partnership, and healthcare access in LMICs.
To discuss advanced mathematical/statistical techniques for the application of data for automated diagnosis.
To discuss the use of digital health, artificial intelligence, and health care entrepreneurship to improve access to health services in LMICs.
COURSE DELIVERY:
This workshop is organized by the Sindh Innovation Research and Education Network (SIREN) and is coordinated by the Latif Ebrahim Jamal National Sciences Information Center, ICCBS, University of Karachi. It will be conducted on-campus and online through Zoom Meeting.
INSTRUCTOR’S PROFILE:
Dr. Hassan Nawaz Tahir Dr. Hasan Nawaz Tahir is a medical doctor, with FCPS in community medicine in 2020. He currently works as faculty of public health in the section of the health system at Aga Khan University. Currently pursuing MS in Artificial Intelligence from University of York, UK. His research focus is the use of digital health, artificial intelligence, and health care entrepreneurship to improve access to health services in LMICs. He has conducted evaluations of digital technologies in the context of public-private partnership and healthcare access in LMICs. He is part of the Data Science initiative of Aga Khan University. He has founded 2 startups in the healthcare space to date.
