INTRODUCTION:

The Sindh Innovation, Research, and Education Network (SIREN) working under the auspices of the Government of Sindh, and the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) is organizing a hybrid workshop entitled, “SPSS for Beginners”.  Research scholars, Students, Scientists, Professionals, and faculty of SIREN-affiliated universities are cordially invited to attend this important workshop which help to understand the use of appropriate statistical tool according to the situation.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:  

•           To recognize different statistical concepts and tools used in analysis.

•           To help the professionals/students to understand the basic statistical concepts and their application.

•           To compare and differentiate different statistical tools applied in the analysis.

•           To use appropriate statistical tools according to the situation.

•           Perform data analysis task using SPSS.

•           Statistical test using SPSS.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:

Dr. Adnan Butt is an inspiring and thought-provoking trainer with expertise in marketing, consumer behavior, organizational psychology, quantitative research methods and statistics. He holds a Ph.D. degree in marketing. His thesis work is on “Green Marketing” and his extensive knowledge on the subject provides him a strength to conduct excellent training for organizational sustainability.

He started to pursue his PhD with different teaching assignments in different leading universities of Karachi. Currently he is working as lead sustainability consultant in Green Alpha Consultancy focusing the sustainability and climate change. In his more than 14 years teaching career he has taught and mentored more than 12,000 students, who have become successful entrepreneurs and managers in reputable organizations.
